DUBAI: The Babar-led Pakistan team beat the West Indies by seven wickets in a team effort in their warm-up match for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup.

Fakhar Zaman and Babar were impressed with the bat as they scored 46 and 50, respectively, while the Pakistani bowlers also took timely wickets to block the West Indies in 130.

The West Indies won the toss and chose to bat first against Pakistan in the first warm-up match between the two teams.

Ravi Rampaul of the West Indies had sent Mohammad Rizwan to pack at 13am, while Hayden Walsh took the wicket of Babar (50), and Mohammad Hafeez - who wanted a duck.

Pakistani bowlers made a powerful show against the fierce West Indian side. The Windies have never looked comfortable batting first, losing wickets from time to time and being able to finish their inning 130/7 in their 20 overs.

Hassan Ali has always selected Pakistani bowlers, picking up two wickets (Fletcher and Pooran) while giving only 21 runs in his four overs.

Right-handed Haris Rauf netted 32 runs in his four overs but managed to pick up two key wickets for Keiron Pollard and Chris Gayle while Shaheen Afridi managed to take two scalps and donate 41 expensive runs in his four overs.

Shaheen Afridi took the skin of Shimron Hetmyer and Lendl Simmons.

Left-thrower Imad Wasim also did well with the ball, donating just six runs in his three overs at an economic run of two runs per hour. He was also able to take the head of Roston Chase
